About Peak Climbing

Only Nepal offers world’s highest peak climbing on Mt. Everest along with over 1500 peaks which are above the height of 5000 meters in altitude.

The Himalayas have always been the focus of outstanding achievements in the world of mountain climbing with their identified 1500 peaks above 5000 meters. One quarter of them are officially opened for mountaineering activities, which offer the great opportunity of adventure peak climbing in Nepal. By Himalayan standards, there are smaller mountains known as “trekking peaks” (ranging from 5587 to 6654 meters), which any fit and keen trekkers can climb. Climbing these trekking peaks in Nepal is the next step beyond simply trekking. However, it includes basic mountaineering above the snow line, using ice axes, climbing boots with crampons, ropes etc.

Peak climbing is done under the supervision and instruction from your professional climbing guides who have considerable mountaineering expertise and experience including multiple ascents of Mt. Everest.

Nepal is landlocked country surrounded by beautiful Himalayas in North side of Nepal. Peak Climbing is most adventure mountain activities in Nepal. There are 1500 peaks that are above 5000 m at height which can be climb by any fit and keen trekkers. Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has categorized the mountains under 7000 m as trekking which can be climb with a moderate amount of mountaineering experience and skills. by anyone & mountains above 7000 m as a expedition.

Itinerary for Mera Peak Climbing :
Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)
Day 02: Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft): Sightseeing and Preparation
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and explore around Lukla (2,730 m/8,954 ft)
Day 04: Trek to Chutanga (3,430 m/11,250 ft): 3-4 hours
Day 05: Trek to Thuli Kharka (4,320 m/13,200 ft) via Zwatra la (4,600 m/14,720 ft): 5-6 hours
Day 06: Trek to Kothe (3,600 m /11,808 ft): 5-6 hours
Day 07: Kothe to Thaknak (4,350 m/14,270ft): 3-4 hours
Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045 m/16,486 ft): 2-3 hours
Day 09:  Rest day in Khare/Acclimatisation:
Day 10: Khare to Mera Base Camp (53,00 m/17,384 ft): 3-4 hours
Day 11: Mera Base Camp to High camp (5,780 m/18,958 ft): 4-5 hours
Day 12: Mera High Camp to Summit (6,461 m/21,1907 ft) and back to Khare (5,045 m/16,547 ft): 8-9 hours
Day 13: Reserve Day for Contingency
Day 14: Khare to Kothe (36,00 m/11,808 ft): 4-5 hours
Day 15: Kothe to Thuli Kharka: 5-6 hours
Day 16: Thuli Kharka to Lukla: 6-7 hours
Day 17:  Fly to Kathmandu & final departure
Itinerary for Island Peak Climbing :
Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu & transfer to the hotel (1,300 m/4,264 ft)
Day 02: Sightseeing tour of various historical, natural and cultural world heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley and trek preparation (1,300 m/4,264 ft)
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,652 m/8,700 ft) 30 minutes flight and 4 hours walk
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11,283 ft) 5-6 hours walk
Day 05: Acclimatize day at Namche
Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3,867 m/12684 ft) 5 hours walk
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4,358 m/14,295 ft) 5-6 hours walk
Day 08: Acclimatized day
Day 09: Trek Chhukung( 4,730m/15,518 ft)- 3 to 4 hrs
Day 10: Trek to Island Peak Base camp (5,200 m/17,060 ft) 3-4 hours
Day 11: Island Peak High Camp (5,600 m/18,372 ft), 2-3 hours
Day 12: Island Peak summit (6,189 m/20,305 ft) & return back to Chhukung, 8-10 hours
Day 13: Trek to Khumjung (3,780 m/12,401 ft)
Day 14: Trek to Namche (3,440 m/11,283 ft), 4-5 hrs

Day 16: Fly to Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)
Day 17: Farewell & departure for your onward trip
