The Mardi Himal Trek is a relatively new, pristine and short trek, located in the east of Annapurna region to avoid the crowd. It “officially” opened in 2012. Mardi Himal Trek is the least visited trekking in the Annapurna region where you will be able to explore traditional village, real local culture along with spectacular views of livery mountain of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna south and Hiuchuli, passing through magical rhododendron forests. Mid Sept-October – November/ (early)December, February-April and May-June are most popular season to go for Mardi Himal trek.
Day 1 : Flight from Kathmandu – Pokhara (or drive 7 hrs) – drive to Kande – trek to Forest Camp (2500 m) 6 hrs
Day 2 : Forest Camp (2500 m) – Low Camp (2990 m) 2.5 hrs
Day 3 : Low Camp (2990 m) – High Camp (3580 m) 3 hrs
Day 4 : High Camp (3580 m) – Mardi Himal Base Camp (4450 m) and back to High Camp 7 hrs
Day 5 : High Camp (3580 m) – Sidhing (1885 m) 5 hrs
Day 6 : Sidhing (1885 m) – Lwang (1460 m) 5 hrs
Day 7 : Lwang (1460 m) – drive back to Pokhara 1/2 hr – return to Kathmandu
- Annapurna Conservation Park permit
- All land/sky transportation by bus / van / car/ flight.
- One Guide (experienced and registered, inc. insurance, salary and all food and accommodation)
- One porter for each two people.
