Yunnan is home to many of China’s minority peoples and boasts a diverse culture and a profound history. It is situated in the south of China and nestled between mountains and forests. Yunnan tour includes beautiful landscapes: breathtaking Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, the legendary Shangri-la and much more wonders to marvel at both mysterious and holy lands that you will not want to miss. Over 25 of China’s ethnic minority groups reside here, providing a colorful salad of China’s mixed culture. Day 1: Arrive in Kunming airport and transfer to the downtown hotel, free for the rest of day
Day 2: Stone Forest and Yuantong Temple Tour- visit a fantastic natural phenomenon after a 1½-hour drive. In the afternoon, visit the Yuantong Temple, the largest and most ancient Buddhist temple in Kunming
Day 3: Kunming to Dali by air and Dali Ancient Town Tour with relaxing tour along the lakeshore of Erhai. The Three Pagodas tour is recommended if you have extra time.
Day 4: Dali to Lijiang Transfer and Lijiang Ancient Town Tour with Black Dragon Pool Park tour
Day 5: Baisha Murals Tour (were painted hundreds of years ago, and the paintings took about 300 years to complete) and after lunch explore Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (3,240 meters).
Day 6: Tiger Leaping Gorge Tour: In the morning, enjoy 1½-hour private transfer to explore Tiger Leaping Gorge and after lunch, continue the 2-hour drive to Shangri-La ( high altitude of 3200 meters).
Day 7: Songzanlin Lamasery and Pudacuo National Park Tour- Visit the largest Tibetan Buddhist Lamasery in Yunnan Province. After enjoying an authentic local meal for lunch, wander Pudacuo National Park which retains a well-preserved ecosystem within the virgin forests and o/n in Shangri-La.
Day 8: Depart Shangri-La for Kunming and final departure towards hometown.
